About Susan Taylor Gallery

Susan Taylor grew up in a family of artists in Oklahoma. Her father, mother and brother, all, are talented artists, and her father’s paintings and photographs have appeared nationally, in galleries and publications for the better part of a century. Therefore, it was only natural that Susan would one day express herself in two-dimensional art.

After Susan was graduated with honors and a Bachelor of Science degree in Fashion Design from Oklahoma State University, she was rewarded with a scholarship to the Parsons School of Design in New York City. Weighing advanced study against launching her business career, Susan chose a job in fashion design and moved immediately into a professional life that eventually took her all over the U.S. in various designer roles.

Susan’s talent in the fashion industry and her appreciation for fabrics, subsequently led her into the world of interior design, where she worked as a designer and consultant. In all of these various endeavors, Susan utilized her strong artistic skills of sketching and painting to such an extent that her sketches and drawings caught the attention of art lovers, and she was commissioned privately to create paintings and special art objects for various customers in Oklahoma, Texas, Florida and New York. She continues, today, to express her love for color and texture in oil on canvas paintings, and she was just recently added to Paint America's "Top 100".

In addition to Susan’s original oil on canvas paintings, she also offers giclée prints of her original works of art, which are limited to small numbers of production. Each print is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, which is numbered, dated, and signed by Susan.

This giclée process produces a very high quality print that looks like the original, in that it utilizes heavy layers of ink and shows detailed brush and palette knife strokes. Giclée printing is a relatively expensive process compared to other printing methods, in the fact that it goes beyond standard four-color printing, as it uses professional 8-Color or 12-Color ink-jet printers, employing specially pigmented inks on high quality art paper or canvas media. This one-at-a-time printing process bridges the gap between more expensive originals and cheaper multi-run copies, and can be further sharpened through expert Photoshop application. In addition, they can be enhanced even further by adding brush and palette knife strokes to the finished product.

These unique prints are available unframed or framed, with 1/8" non-glare acrylic sheet, and with or without matting (standard frame is 3/4" black wood, matting is 1 ¾” white, and mounting is on a foam core board).

In addition, our pledge of satisfaction is fully backed by our money back guarantee. We want to insure your complete happiness with these unique prints.
